2023 Torhunta Freeze-O-Ree

2023 Torhunta District Freeze-O-Ree

The 2023 Freeze-O-Ree will be held February 24th -26th at the beautiful Outer Banks. We have made this trip several times in years past and it has always been memorable and exciting. Make the trip part of the adventure either by traveling Highway 64 to famous Highway 12 or by ferry to Cape Hatteras.

Camping will be at the K.O.A. Campground in Rodanthe, N.C. The campground has its own rules and guidelines. Each campsite has a limit of six people and are positioned in straight rows so each troop will be together in their own blocks within the group. The price for camping is $40 per campsite per night. This would equate to $14 per person to camp for the weekend. This does include restrooms, showers, electricity, and water at each site, as well as all other amenities, including the use of the playground equipment. Each troop must make their own reservations at the campground along with paying a $40 deposit per campsite based on 6 people per site. Half of the deposit must be paid upon reservation and the remainder of the fee is due upon arrival at the campground. All deposits for sites must be paid before January 1, 2023. The phone number for the K.O.A. Campground is (252) 987-2307. When calling use the following information: 68706 BSA Torhunta District. Each troop must book and pay for their own sites. If you have any questions, contact Darret Ezzell at (919) 750-5094.

District Registration fee for the camporee is $10.00
