Torhunta District Banquet

Check-in begins at 6:30 pm, with dinner at 7:00 pm catered by Parkside Cafe, with the district awards presentation soon after.
Registration is now open at $20 per person until 8 December 2025. Rate increases to $30 per person after the 8th.
Reminder:
District Award Nominations are open until Tuesday, 25 November 2025. All nominations need to be completed on the appropriate nomination forms, scanned, & emailed to jonathan.brown2@scouting.org Please see the attached documents to see what awards are open for nominations, National Scout training awards, and other recognitions. Some of these awards require letters nominating an individual, so please make sure to send those in if those apply to the recognition you are choosing to nominate an individual for. All nominations should remain confidential until the selection committee has notified the recipients and made an official announcement.
District Awards for Nominations
Scouter’s Training Award for Cub Scouting - There are specific Tenure, Training, and Performance requirements that must be fulfilled and documented to earn this award. There is a form used to nominate a Cub Leader for their achievement. This form can be obtained online.
Scouter’s Training Award for Scouts BSA - There are specific Tenure, Training, and Performance requirements that must be fulfilled and documented to earn this award. There is a form used to nominate a leader, and this form can be obtained online.
Cubmaster’s Key Award - There are specific Tenure, Training, and Performance requirements that must be fulfilled and documented to earn this award. There is a form used to nominate a Cub Leader for this achievement. This form can be obtained online.
Scoutmaster’s Key Award - There are specific Tenure, Training, and Performance requirements that must be fulfilled and documented to earn this award. There is a form used to nominate a Scout Leader for this achievement. This form can be obtained online.
Unit Leader Award of Merit - Quality unit leadership is the key to a quality unit program, and it leads to better Scout retention. Statistics show that if young people stay engaged in the program for at least five years, the BSA's influence likely will stay with them for the rest of their lives. A quality Scouting experience will help keep Scouts in the program, and the Boy Scouts of America created the Unit Leader Award of Merit to recognize the quality unit leaders who make that happen. (This honor can be awarded retroactively to former unit leaders who made an impact on young people who have remained in the program because of their hard work.) There is a form used to nominate a Scout Leader for this achievement. This form can be obtained online.
Trailblazer Award - This award recognizes the volunteer that has devoted the most time and effort toward the advancement of Scouting in the District or Council-wide over the past year. A written letter of nomination must be submitted to your District Executive.
Fellowship Award - This award recognizes the volunteer that has devoted the most time and effort towards the advancement of Scouting in the District or Council-wide over the past three to five years. A written letter of nomination must be submitted to your District Executive.
District Award of Merit - This award recognizes the volunteer that has devoted the most time and effort toward the advancement of Scouting in the District or Council-wide over the past five to ten years. This is the highest award that can be presented at the district level! There is a form used to nominate someone for this award. This form can be obtained online.
