2026 Torhunta District Pinewood Derby

WHEN

Saturday, March 14th
Registration begins at 8:30 AM sharp!
Race will begin promptly as soon as the last racer checks in.
 

LOCATION

625 N Berkeley Blvd. Goldsboro, NC 27534
 

WHO CAN RACE:

  • Packs can register therir Top 3 Racers. Packs are encouraged to pick alternates if your Top 3 are unable to particiapte on March 14. However only 3 racers per pack.
  • The top 3 can be any combo of their dens (Lions/Tigers, Wolf, Bear, Webleos, & AOL)
  • Fee for all racers is $10 per racer (1 car)
  • All racers will be judged for Best in Show categories. No need to register for Best in Show.

BEST IN SHOW

  • The Best in Show is open to any PWD designer.
  • There will be 2 categories - Best in Show & Most realistic cars
  • Fee to particpate is $10 per car
  • Scouts who are racing, do not need to register for these categories. You will be added to these categories automatically.
  • This is NOT a racing event, and is OPEN TO ALL Scouts

IMPORTANT:

Please make sure to thoroughly read the rulebook, and register your participants accordingly. The rulebook is located at the bottom of this page! Do not deviate from this rulebook in any way, lest you risk potential disqualification for your youth participants!
Cubmasters, it is easiest if you follow these rules on a unit level prior to reaching District Competitions. If you do not be sure to assit your families by providing them the information. "Not knowing" will not be accepted at check-in.
